    Date: 20 Nov 2001
    Copyright: SOHO/LASCO (ESA & NASA)

Gas falling into the Sun: these images from SOHO's LASCO C2 instrument show gas inflows, originating far out in the solar corona. Several point-like features can be seen heading inwards from a variety of directions in the eastern hemisphere. (February 6-7, 2000)
