| ISO Status Report - November 2006 |
| In the final months of the ISO Active Archive Phase, activities continue to focus on the final data legacy. A new version (v10.0) of the ISO Data Archive (IDA) software was released in June. Observations can now also be searched by object type. The hierarchical classification is based on SIMBAD. |

| Version 9.1 of the ISO Data Archive (IDA) was released on 15 March. It includes an automatic query to other archives via the object coordinates and interoperability with the XMM-Newton and INTEGRAL archives. Also included is VOSpec, a tool developed at ESAC to display spectra from ISO and other VO-compliant archives. Two new Highly Processed Data Sets have been ingested as default products in IDA. |

| The special issue of Space Science Reviews, "ISO science legacy - a compact review of ISO major achievements" (480 pages) has been published by Springer. The plan for the remaining ISO activities was agreed with the National Data Centres in October. Twenty Highly Processed Data Products projects are foreseen to be carried out in 2006. |

| ISO Status Report - November 2005 |
| Two major upgrades of the ISO Data Archive have been released. Version 8 (released on 10 May) is aimed at simplifying maintenance after the end of the ISO Active Archive Phase by incorporating functionalities that have been developed for other archives at ESAC. Version 9 (27 July) provides recommended datasets per observation to the user - either the best Highly Processed Data Products (HPDP) or the legacy pipeline products, thereby fulfilling a major recommendation from the mid-term review. |

| ISO Status Report - April 2005 |
| ISO featured prominently in the third (and final) demonstration of the Astrophysical Virtual Observatory project, which was successfully held at ESAC on 25-26 January 2005. The stellar science case "The transition from AGB stars to Planetary Nebulae" made extensive use of ISO data, accessible via VO-compliant tools in creative cooperation with developers. |

| A special issue of Space Science Reviews summarising the major achievements of ISO was posted on the ISO web site in December (http://www.iso.vilspa.esa.es/science/SSR), prior to its publication by Springer. The book, of over 400 pages organised in 17 chapters, embraces all areas of infrared astronomy and serves, inter alia, as a reference for the preparations of the proposals solicited for the 2nd call of the Spitzer Space Telescope. |

| Mission Status
The ISO Active Archive Phase Mid-Term Review was held on 14-15 June at ESAC. The Board, composed of external data providers and users, was impressed with the achievements of the ESA and National Data Centres over the past 2.5 years. |

| ISO Status Report - May 2004 |
| Active Archive Phase activities The ISO Data Archive (IDA) has been enhanced in content with six new sets of Highly Processed Data Products - the results of dedicated projects focused on removing residual instrumental artefacts from the pipeline products of selected instrument modes. Products from scientifically focussed projects from the community are also ingested as a continuous activity. |

Active Archive Phase activities
The ISO Data Centre Active Archive Phase activities continue to run smoothly. A new version of the ISO Data Archive (IDA V.6.1) was released, associated with a new interoperability mechanism, fully compliant with the Virtual Observatories standards. This was demonstrated at the XIII ADASS conference hosted by CDS, Strasbourg, in October 2003 and will be an important element of the second demo of the Astrophysical Virtual Observatory planned for January 27-28 2004, now also including ISO. |

| ISO Status Report - October 2003 |
| The ISO Data Centre Active Archive Phase activities continue to run smoothly. On 24 July, a
new version of the ISO Data Archive (IDA V.6) was released. This release was devoted to upgrading functionality associated with, and visibility of, the Highly Processed Data Products
(HPDP) - data reduced systematically "by hand". Catalogues and atlases can now be easily
ingested and queried. Projects focussed on reducing data from selected observing modes are
underway. The goal is to acquire HPDP for some 30% of the scientific contents of the ISO
archive during the Active Archive Phase. |

| ISO Status Report - April 2003 |
| The ISO Data Centre Active Archive Phase activities continue to run smoothly. On average,
each month in 2003 has seen 60 users downloading some 13% of the archive, this is the
equivalent of the full scientific content is retrieved every 8 months by the community.
Requirements have been consolidated for a new version of the ISO Data Archive (V.6),
planned for release in July. This release is devoted to upgrading functionality associated with,
and visibility of, the Expert Reduced Data - data reduced systematically by hand. Projects
focussed on reducing data from selected observing modes are underway. |
