    Mars Express Status Report - September 2003

    Halfway to its destination, the Mars Express spacecraft and its subsystems continue to behave in a nominal manner.

    The Interplanetary Cruise checkout of the payload instruments onboard the orbiter will be performed in early October. The checkouts of the Beagle-2 lander are scheduled for early October and early November. On the spacecraft side, preparations for Mars Orbit Insertion are ongoing.
