Keep up-to-date with the SciTech Screensaver: a multi-faceted application that allows you to keep abreast of status reports, mission news, and announcements of events taking place at ESA Science. By clicking on each news item you can follow the full story on the SciTech website while you are connected on the Internet. The screensaver links to 3D models, of all our operational satellites, displaying labelled components and details of each instrument onboard each satellite. You can also watch live images of the Sun from the SOHO Observatory. Download it now and keep up-to-date with all that is happening at ESA Science.
The screensaver is currently available for the PC only. To download the screensaver click on the relevant link below. A window will open asking if you want to Open or Save the application. Click on Save, select the destination folder, and click save again to begin the download. Once the file has downloaded go to the location where the file is stored and double click on the icon to start the installation routine. Upgrade InformationIf you are upgrading from the original version it is advised that you first uninstall the old version of the screensaver. Click Start on your system task bar and select All Programs. Under the program listing there will be an entry called Sci-Tech_screensaver followed by the version details. Select this folder and choose the uninstall option. Alternatively you can select Start - Settings - Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs. Select the Sci-Tech screensaver to be uninstalled from the program list. For other editions of Windows choose the 9X version. Both of the files are 2.45 Mb. The download time will depend on the speed of your network connection.
