    Launch of XMM-Newton

    Launch of XMM-Newton from the European spaceport in Kourou on an Ariane-5 launcher, flight 119. The video starts a few seconds before lift-off and concludes with the separation of the two lateral boosters, nearly 3 minutes into the flight.
