    Spacecraft alignment measurements

    Date: 23 Feb 2009
    Satellite: Planck
Depicts: Service module alignment stability check
Location: Cleanroom of S1B building, CSG, Kourou, French Guiana

Using theodolites, the spacecraft alignment stability tests were performed at Kourou to verify the mechanical stability of the spacecraft. These tests included the alignment measurements of the service module (seen in this image), and later also the payload module, and the spacecraft thrusters attached to the service module.
