    Attaching the vertical lifting device

    Hanging from an overhead crane, the Planck vertical lifting device is secured to the spacecraft to hoist it up inside the final assembly building (Bâtiment d'Assemblage Final, or BAF) for mating of the Planck spacecraft on top of the Ariane 5 ECA launcher.
