Plot of the temperature versus time for the three coolers of the Planck active cooling system (20K, 4K and 0.1K), during the cool-down to operational temperatures in the first seven weeks after launch of the Planck spacecraft on 14 May 2009. The temperature of the coldest of three V-grooves, which together provide passive cooling to ~50K, is also indicated.
