    The CPS International School of Planetary Sciences aims at promoting education and research in planetary science for highly motivated graduate students and young researchers worldwide. It offers them an opportunity to interact with leading scientists in a specific field of the year. The topic of the 2010 school is: "Planetary Atmospheres - Sisters, relatives and ancestors of our own".

    The main part of the school is a series of lectures on various aspects of planetary atmospheres, surface environments, and their interaction with planetary interiors including the following topics:

    1. Cutting-edge reviews of the atmospheres of Mars and Venus and their exploration
    2. A perspective on the dynamics of the planetary atmospheres including the Earth's as an example
    3. In-depth discussion on the origin and evolution of the coupled system of planetary atmospheres and interiors, with the search for the definition of habitable worlds in mind
