Session E15 at the 38th COSPAR Scientific Assembly

The first space missions directly addressing the study of exoplanets are now in orbit. CoRoT was launched in December 2006 and is in full operation while Kepler has been in space since March 2009. The collected results of these two missions form the basis to define future missions in the near- and medium time perspective. In this COSPAR session CoRoT- and Kepler-results are reviewed, as well as individual, particularly interesting results presented. Supporting results from other missions, like e.g. Herschel and Spitzer, are also highlighted. A number of future mission concepts are presented as well as the global outlook of ESA, NASA, JAXA and other space organisations.
