    The HIPWAC team at IRTF

    Date: 08 Dec 2009

Location: IRFT, summit of Mauna Kea, Hawai'i

Between 8 and 11 December 2009 a team of astronomers from NASA/GSFC performed observations of ozone in the Martian atmosphere using the Heterodyne Instrument for Planetary Wind And Composition (HIPWAC) at the NASA Infrared Telescope Facility (IRTF) in Hawai'i.

The observations were coordinated with observations made during the same period by the SPICAM instrument onboard the Mars Express spacecraft, in orbit around Mars.

In this photo, from left to right, the team members are: John Annen (HIPWAC engineer), Timothy Livengood (Co-investigator, Mars ozone programme), Theodor Kostiuk (Principal investigator, HIPWAC instrument), and Kelly Fast (Principal investigator, Mars ozone programme).
