    Gold Medal of the Russian Academy of Sciences

    The gold medal of the Russian Academy of Sciences, awarded to Maria Gritsevich, an International Research Fellow jointly at the European Space Agency and Lomonosov Moscow State University. The medal depicts the Presidium of the RAS and is inscribed with "Award of the Russian Academy of Sciences for the best research by a young scientist of Russia". The pin shows M.V. Lomonosov surrounded by the inscription "to the recipient of the RAS award".

    The medal is granted by the Russian Academy of Science to the best young scientist of the past year in the 19 basic subjects of research in the fields of natural, technical and humanitarian science, including "Problems of mechanical engineering, mechanics and control processes". It was awarded to Dr. Gritsevich in recognition of the extensive work accomplished by her during her PhD studies at the Lomonosov Moscow State University.
