LOFT science simulations: epicyclic resonance model

    Date: 26 Sep 2011
    Satellite: LOFT
    Copyright: LOFT proposal team

This figure shows the outcome of some simulations of LOFT measurements for black hole high-frequency QPOs. This particular simulation is a prediction of the evolution within the epicyclic resonance model.

The curves correspond to: 1 Crab, fractional rms 2.8% and 6.2% (blue); 400 mCrab, fractional rms 1.4% and 3.1% (green); 300 mCrab, fractional rms 0.7% and 1.5%. The exposure is 16 ks in all cases.
