3 August 2017Exploring a Martian landscape with a robot, investigating human-robot interactions, and discussing the ethics of robotics and technology – these were among the highlights of Sarah Petkus's recent visit to ESA's technical centre, ESTEC, in the Netherlands.
7 June 2017On 6 June, Sarah Petkus, a kinetic artist and roboticist, began a three-week residency at the European Space Agency's technical centre (ESTEC) in the Netherlands to explore aspects of robotic exploration in space. Sarah is accompanied by the Wandering Artist, a 60-cm tall, four-footed robot, also known as Noodle.
22 May 2017Aoife van Linden Tol, the recipient of the first art&science@ESA residency, spent her second research period at ESA's European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) from 1 to 19 May 2017.
