Integration of the support structure for the secondary mirror of ESA's Euclid mission on the silicon carbide baseplate of the spacecraft payload module at Airbus Defence and Space in Toulouse, France.

Euclid's optical design is based on a Korsch-type telescope with an aperture diameter of 1.2 m. The telescope has three curved mirrors (including the primary and secondary) and three flat mirrors, which direct the light to the two instruments on board with the aid of a dichroic filter that separates visible and near-infrared wavelengths.

The payload module, including the telescope and instruments, is mounted on top of the service module, which in turn comprises all conventional spacecraft subsystems as well as the instruments' warm electronics units, sunshield and solar arrays.
