Typical VIRTIS spectrum of a CO2 enhanced region on Earth. This corresponds to the yellow areas that can be seen in the VIRTIS image "CO2 bands in Earth's atmosphere - stretched".
The spectra were taken on 5 March 2005 after Rosetta's closest approach to Earth by VIRTIS from a distance of 250 000 kilometres.
