Physics of the Inner Heliosheath: Voyager Observations, Theory, and Future Prospects

Start date: 03 Mar 2006
Address: Sheraton Moana Surfrider Resort, Waikiki Beach, Oahu, Hawaii

More info: http://www.igpp.ucr.edu/Conferences_Astro_2006.htm

The conference will focus on the inner heliosheath with a view to understanding this new frontier recently broached by the Voyager 1 spacecraft. We seek to bring together in situ observations, remote observations, as well as local and global theoretical models to create a new picture of what lies beyond the solar wind termination shock. Future approaches to observations, both in situ and remote, will also be discussed.
