    SOHO back to normal operations

    10 Dec 1999

While the spaceworld has had its eyes on the successful launch of ESA's XMM telescope, SOHO recovery teams have been busy at GSFC. As of 10 December at 01:00 UT, the SOHO spacecraft is back in Normal Mode.

Instrument recovery from safe modes is in progress.

Yesterday, a momentum management, a station keeping (orbit trim), and another momentum management manoeuvre were performed as planned.

Instrument recovery operations are expected to be finished by the end of the day, and normal science operations will be resumed tomorrow.
