Herschel's Cryostat and Service Module Mated

During the course of the past few months the integration of the Herschel spacecraft has taken place at the Astrium facility in Friedrichshafen, Germany.

The Herschel spacecraft, scheduled for launch in 2008, is ESA's latest mission to explore the infrared Universe. To coincide with the mating of the cryostat and the service module, a media event was held 19 September and full details can be found at:
