This conference will present and discuss results from the 5th Japanese satellite Suzaku (Astro-EII) which was launched on 10 July 2005. Suzaku covers the energy range 0.2 - 600 keV with the two instruments, X-ray CCDs (X-ray Imaging Spectrometer; XIS), and the hard X-ray detector (HXD). This conference will be the first to present the results of both the performance verification phase and guest observer programme.
