Comet Halley on 19 May 1910 photographed at the Lowell Observatory. The original photographic plate was digitised at the Kitt Peak National Observatory and colours were added with an image display processor. The comet had passed through perihelion one month earlier and was at a distance of 0.9 AU from the Sun and 0.3 AU from the Earth.
