This image shows a patch of the sky centred on the COSMOS field and is a colour composite made from Digitized Sky Survey 2 (DSS2) exposures. The field of view is 3.3° × 3.3°. The field covered by the COSMOS survey is roughly the central 1.3° × 1.3° of this view.
