Transfer of LISA Pathfinder in fairing to transport platform

On 16 November, LISA Pathfinder was encapsulated within the fairing of the Vega launcher, together forming the Payload Assembly Composite (PAC).
The PAC is seen here the following day, during transfer to the upper composite transport platform, or PlateForme Routière Composite Supérieur (PFRCS), in preparation for its transport to the Vega launch pad.
The PFRCS is equipped with an air conditioning system to regulate the environment inside the fairing during the transport.
