The upper composite of the Vega launcher, carrying LISA Pathfinder, being transferred to the launcher assembly area, at Europe's Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, on 18 November 2015.

The transfer is by truck and uses the upper composite transport platform, or PlateForme Routière Composite Supérieur (PFRCS). The PFRCS is equipped with an air conditioning system to regulate the environment inside the fairing. One end of the connecting hose for the air conditioning system is attached to the top of the fairing.

In the background, between the four towers that provide protection against lightning strikes, stands the mobile gantry with the Vega launcher inside.
