1 October 2009
The PRODEX programme and its position within the ESA organisation were presented to the Greek scientific community at the Hellenic Astronomical Conference in Athens, held on 4 September 2009.Greece became a participating state in the PRODEX programme in November 2008. At the recent conference in Athens the head of the PRODEX office, Hilde Schroeven-Deceuninck, was invited to make a presentation of the programme. This occasion was the first opportunity to present PRODEX to the Greek scientific community, giving an overview of the programme and providing all the information necessary to the scientists on how to submit proposals and contribute.
In the same month that Greece joined PRODEX as a participating state, the Czech Republic also re-joined the programme after a four year PECS membership (2004-2008). The Czech Republic first joined PRODEX as a participating state in 2000.
