Optical components for interferometry

The objective of this activity is to initiate the development of optical components required by DARWIN. The activity addresses beam splitters/combiners, amplitude matching and polarization control devices.

For optical nulling interferometry it is important that the combined beams are identical in terms of amplitude, polarization, and wavefront. This activity aims at establishing manufacturing technologies allowing a high constant optical quality to be maintained.
