Report for Period 16 March to 22 March 2008Routine operations continued nominally as planned.

The battery discharge test has been postponed to a more favourable time (currently during the next quadrature phase in January 2009, TBC). The first draft of the battery deep discharge test has been released. Detailed procedures will be prepared and reviewed.

At the end of the last Cebreros pass in the reporting period (DOY 082) Venus Express was orbiting Venus at 235.4 million km from the Earth. The one-way signal travel time was 785.3 seconds.

Future Milestones

  • New on-board control procedure for the disabling of virtual channel zero (VC0) routing outside visibility. VC0 is used for spacecraft housekeeping telemetry
  • Release the HGA-1 S-band anomaly report
