The scientific focus of this workshop is accretion onto stellar mass black holes and neutron stars with the following topics being covered:
    • disc accretion in X-ray binaries
    • wind-fed accretion and X-ray pulsars
    • boundary layers around neutron stars and white dwarfs
    • numerical simulations of accretion discs
    • super-Eddington accretion and ultra-luminous X-ray sources
    • long and short term variability and comparison to extra-galactic black holes
