The scientific focus of this workshop is accretion onto stellar mass black holes and neutron stars with the following topics being covered:
- disc accretion in X-ray binaries
- wind-fed accretion and X-ray pulsars
- boundary layers around neutron stars and white dwarfs
- numerical simulations of accretion discs
- super-Eddington accretion and ultra-luminous X-ray sources
- long and short term variability and comparison to extra-galactic black holes
