    This document provides the top level science requirements and the implied top level payload and mission requirements for Euclid, ESA's mission to map the dark Universe. Euclid will tightly constrain the dark energy equation of state and address key cosmological questions.

    This Issue 4 of the Science Requirements Document (SciRD) will be the basis for the Euclid mission and payload design during the Definition Phase.
