Cluster II Science Data System
The Cluster II Science Data System (CSDS) consists of eight nationally funded and operated data centres. In most cases the data centres produce data products on behalf of the national Principal Investigator teams. Members of the Cluster scientific community wishing to access CSDS may contact the manager of their respective national data centre. Note that all data centres offer the same data products. In countries not served by a national centre, enquiries may be addressed to the Principal Investigator of the relevant Cluster instrument. In case of difficulty, please contact the Cluster II Project Scientists:
- C.P. Escoubet (email cescoube
estec.esa.nl) or
- M. Fehringer (email mfehring
estec.esa.nl).

The Joint Science Operations Centre
The Joint Science Operations Centre, JSOC, is co-located with the UK data centre at RAL, Didcot. JSOC supports the Cluster Project Scientists in the scientific operations of the payload. To this end, JSOC receives the master science plan from the PI teams and builds the detailed instrument command files. These files are checked with the instrument teams and then forwarded for final acceptance checking by the Operations Control Centre (OCC). In case of a rejection by the OCC, e.g. due to a violation of spacecraft constraints, a further iteration with the instrument teams is executed. Most of the JSOC catalogues are accessible to CSDS via the CSDS User Interface. The JSOC manager can be reached at t.g.dimbylowrl.ac.uk.
