One of the two bars that make up the Gaia Basic Angle Monitor (BAM) Opto-Mechanical Assembly (OMA). The two mirrors that direct the measurement beams onto one of the main mirrors are at the top of the vertical columns. The bar is connected to the test/handling fixture using isostatic mounts, as will be the case when it is attached to the Gaia payload torus.
