In this close-up view of the primary mirror of the Herschel telescope, the smaller secondary mirror and its support structure are seen reflected. Inside the reflection of the secondary mirror you look back at the primary mirror where at lower left its central hole can be seen through which the light will pass onto the spacecraft instruments.
