The Herschel flight model spacecraft stands on its multi-purpose trolley inside the Hydra cleanroom at ESTEC. The solar array and sun shield are covered with protective panels (grey panels with handles). A protective foil also covers the contamination sensitive surface of the telescope's primary mirror.
