The Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), in a first shipment in December 2008, received two of the 18 hexagonal-shaped mirror segments that make up the JWST's primary mirror. NASA and Ball Engineering technicians are seen here preparing the set up of the mirrors in the centre's X-ray and Cryogenic Facility's vacuum chamber for testing.
