The Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI) was integrated into the Integrated Science Instrument Module (ISIM) – a composite structure that supports all four of the JWST science instruments – in April 2013.
Pictured here are some of those involved in the integration process for MIRI. The people in blue caps are from ESA and the MIRI European Consortium: (from left to right) Piyal Samara-Ratna (MIRI European Consortium), Alan Pearce (MIRI European Consortium), Maurice te Plate (ESA), Paul Eccleston (MIRI European Consortium) and David Wright (NASA).
