JWST Director's Discretionary Early Release Science - Call for Proposals

The Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) has announced the Call for Proposals for the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) Director's Discretionary Early Release Science (DD ERS) program. The proposal submission deadline is 18 August 2017, 20:00 EDT.Up to 500 hours of JWST observing time are anticipated to be allocated through the DD ERS program, to support up to 15 teams in providing early access to substantive, representative datasets to enable full scientific exploitation in Cycle 2 and beyond.
This Call is open only to proposers who submitted Notices of Intent (NoI) by the 3 March deadline.
JWST is an international collaboration between NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). Participation in the DD ERS program is open to all categories of organizations, both domestic and foreign, including educational institutions, profit and non-profit organizations, NASA Centers, and other Government agencies.
