This movie was taken during the annular solar eclipse on 3 October 2005, through an H-alpha filter, showing part of the solar disk with prominences. A graphic of the Earth to scale has been included for reference.
The movie was recorded with a Coronado Personal Solar Telescope (PST) and webcam. Darren Baskill performed extensive processing of the raw data to obtain this final movie. Observers: Metcalfe, Baskill, Breitfellner, and the ESAC Astronomy Club.
