In preparation for the Planck filling activities with ³He and 4He, the necessary pressurisation equipment was placed in the S1B cleanroom. The dilution cooler on the Planck spacecraft will use the ³He and 4He to maintain the detectors of the HFI instrument at the operational temperatures of 0.1 K.
