Two specially trained operators in "scape suits" set up the necessary equipment for the Planck spacecraft fuelling operations in the filling hall of the S5A building at the Centre Spatial Guyanais (CSG).

The fuelling was performed on 15 and 16 April 2009, filling the spacecraft's fuel tanks with 384 kg of hydrazine propellant.

Visible in the foreground are the four pressurized hydrazine tanks, connected to an overhead load scale that continuously measures the weight of the tanks for monitoring purposes during the fuelling.
