Illustration of the ionised environment of Jupiter's moon, Ganymede, one of the main targets of ESA's future JUICE mission. The scene also includes a flow map on the left of the frame, and is completed by magnetic field lines that pass through the JUICE trajectory.
This image was obtained using the LatHyS set of plasma simulations and the 3DView visualization tool, which were developed as part of the Integrated Medium for Planetary Exploration (IMPEx).
