Histogram showing radiation levels on the EPIC-MOS cameras, as detected by the Radiation Monitor before and after perigee (at 7000-km altitude) for each revolution of XMM-Newton during the past few months. The main peaks correspond to the solar flare outbursts of 14 July, 13 September and 8 November.
