On the left: contours of radio emission observed from the region around GRS 1758-258 overlayed on an optical image. The two radio lobes are located each side of the radio point source labelled VLA-C.
On the right: a close-up of VLA-C comparing the radio position (small green circle) and the old X-ray position of GRS 1758-258 (large black circle) with the newly derived X-ray position obtained with XMM-Newton (medium-size red circle). This new X-ray measurement confirms the identification of this source with the source of the radio jets - the microquasar.
