BepiColombo stack – without sunshield
The BepiColombo stack seen on its vertical integration stand in ESA's test centre, in May 2017.
From bottom to top: the Mercury Transfer Module (MTM), sitting on top of a cone-shaped adapter and hidden from view by the red protective cover in front of one folded solar array; the Mercury Planetary Orbiter (MPO), with the steerable one-metre-diameter dish of the high-gain antenna facing the camera; and the Mercury Magnetospheric Orbiter (MMO).
