The science instruments of BepiColombo's Mercury Magnetospheric Orbiter. There are five instrument suites in total, several of which have multiple subsystems.

  • MDM: Mercury dust monitor
  • MAST-MGF/SC (MMO-MAG): Magnetometer / magnetic sensors
  • MPPE: Mercury plasma particle experiment (MIA: Mercury Ion Analyser, HEP: High-energy particle; ENA: Energetic neutrals analyser; MSA: Mercury mass spectrum analyser)
  • MSASI: Mercury sodium atmospheric spectral imager
  • PWI: Plasma wave investigation; (WPT: Wire probe antenna; MEFISTO: Mercury electric field in situ tool)
