Detail of the white multi-layered insulation blanket that was hand-sewn on the BepiColombo Mercury Planetary Orbiter (MPO) as part of launch preparations at Europe's Spaceport. The insulation is to protect the spacecraft from the extreme thermal conditions that will be experienced during the mission.
