Yordovana et al., used multi-spacecraft observations to characterize the evolution of magnetosheath turbulence. They showed that one property of the turbulence, the intermittency, significantly changes over distance. The figure above shows the measure of the intermittency which further deviates from the fully developed solar wind turbulence the further a spacecraft is located away from the bow shock.
