The sample of Ferrari red paint 'Rosso Corsa' under test at ESA/ESTEC



The red paint is safely installed in a specially constructed glass globe (2 cm in diameter) sealed into a PMMA (PolyMethyl Metacrylate) block, nicknamed FRED. To be 'space qualified', it is undergoing a rigorous series of mechanical and environmental tests.
