This image shows two of the regions - Atlantis Chaos and Simois Colles - that were the the subject of a study published in the Journal of Geophysical Research which aimed to better understand past environmental conditions in the Terra Sirenum and Terra Cimmeria regions on Mars.

The image is produced using data from the Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter (MOLA) on NASA's Mars Global Surveyor (MGS).
