This image of the martian surface maps the olivine-rich rock of the area surrounding Jezero crater, the future landing site for NASA's 2020 Mars Perseverance rover. It combines spectral data in the near-infrared, thermal radiance, and altimetry from ESA's Mars Express, NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter and NASA's Mars Odyssey missions. The altitude of the surface is represented as shown in the key to the bottom left, with the depth of the olivine-bearing material absorption bands represented as shown in the key to the top left.
